Below we have created a step-by-step process so you know exactly what to expect during your website creation.

A Typical Website Process

Consultation:

The first step in the process is a one hour consultation. It is very important to have your questions and ideas prepared before the hour starts to ensure every question has been answered and all your needs are met. We will provide you with a form to help you prepare for the consultation. During the consultation the account manager and/or designer will discuss your goals, ideas, colors, usability, layout, functionality and the over all strategy to produce a successful website. We will discuss some simple market research of competitors and similar businesses so that we may effectively target a design for your business.

Site Planning / Material Collection:

During your consultation the account manager will go over your needs for domain registration and hosting. A link to an online upload form and email will be provided so that you may submit all project materials to be included such as text, photos, logos and design specifications on desired layouts. This is a critical part of the process that can determine our success in meeting your website needs.  If all of your materials are not received at this time we may not be able to meet all of your expectations.

The Bid:

Within 24-48 hours the bid will be prepared and delivered to you via email with an itemized invoice of services and payment options for your approval.

Green Light Project:

Once the project bid has been agreed upon, 50% of the total payment will be due before work can begin.

Composition Design/ Delivered:

Within five business days after you have "green lit" the project, two design compositions will be created for you. The designer will present you with the design/designs based on the information gathered during your consultation. You will be asked to choose the design that fits your needs and design requirements. Choosing the compositions that fits your needs is very important; Muse Media will give you 48 to 72 hours to choose your design.

Design Revisions:

Once a design composition has been chosen, inside page layouts (wire frames, if necessary) will be completed. We will then move forward with two rounds of design revisions. During this stage we will be concerned with only design elements (layout, colors, logo placement, etc.). We will not be revising any content or text at this time.

Development Begins:

After two rounds of design revisions have been completed the design is considered final. We will then take your design and begin development of your website and integrate the content, text, images, and functionality. Development and content integration may take up to five business days. For larger, more complex sites, the worktime will be estimated and you will be given a custom deadline for development and content integration.

Website Staged/ Content Revisions:

Once your website has been developed and content integrated it will be staged on your hosting package, in a manner that will not be live on the internet to the general public. At this point you will receive one round of content revisions to the text and image replacement only. Muse Media will give you 48 to 72 hours to submit all of your content revisions to us. Please identify all the pages and paragraphs to be revised. After completion of the your content revisions your website will be ready to publish.

Publish:

Upon your final approval, your new website is published live on the Internet, your domain will be attached to your hosting account and a backup provided to you on a flash drive, CD or DVD.

Maintenance:

This stage is optional, but we really recommend ordering maintenance if you don’t have an in house designer / developer. Both visitors and search engines prefer to visit updated websites where content is added or updated on a regular basis. Websites needs regular maintenance like updating of content and graphics, keeping the web site current and fresh.

Maintenance Includes:
